NPCs can read as well as write on the PC during encounters. Reading body-writing can influence NPC behaviour, or simply increase fame. Sufficiently promiscuous PCs can write on themselves, hoping to coax out more cash from NPCs.
Body-writing doesn't have an impact on allure, so encounters won't become more frequent, but they might become more dangerous. Bad situations can snowball hard already, and I'm concerned additional allure would be too much. The aim is to add to the middle-ground between everything being fine, and being passed around town like a chew toy.

Patch notes
- Added a body-writing and tattoo system.
- NPCs will try to write degrading things on the PC during non-consensual encounters. What they write is influenced by the different lewd fame stats, combat fame, and beauty.
- Pens can be whacked from the NPC's hand when they first pull them out as a bratty action.
- NPCs will notice body-writing during encounters. Different lines have different effects on NPCs who read them:
- Lines paired with an arrow pointing at a bodypart will encourage NPCs to fuck you there.
- Some lines will encourage NPCs to give money. Success depends on the amount asked for, how the NPC feels and the PC's attractiveness. Will reduce NPC trust and increase anger, especially if it fails.
- Some lines will make NPCs less inclined to play along with your requests.
- Some lines will make NPCs more inclined to violence.
- Some lines will make NPCs think the PC more girly or boyish.
- Prostitution, sex, rape, beast, exhibitionism, and combat fame can be increased by NPCs reading certain lines.
- NPCs will write in regular pen or permanent marker. Pen can be washed off, while marker will fade after an indeterminate length of time.
- Added art to represent body-writing to the sidebar, doggy, and missionary sprites. Other tattoos don't yet have art, with the exception of the heart tattoo when placed on the pubic area. Art courtesy of PurityGuy.
- Added a tattoo parlour to the High Street shopping centre. Text and objects drawn on the PC's body can be made permanent there. Lewd tattoos have a promiscuity or deviancy requirement, and tattoos in a lewd location have an exhibitionism requirement. They also have a selection of their own designs available.
- Intentionally getting a tattoo restores control. Intentionally getting a lewd tattoo, whether lewd due to its location or the subject, restores more control.
- Added information about current body-writing and tattoos to the Characteristics overlay.
- Added a bit more variety to NPC behaviour during encounters, particularly when angry.
- Added a simple event to the school hallways wherein students recognise visible lewd body-writing .
- Robin can notice body-writing on the PC's face in the school canteen, and Kylar can notice exposed body-writing while chatting to the PC.
- Whitney and their friends will write unique things on the PC given the opportunity.
- Added a Whitney event to the school gates for characters in a relationship with them.
- Added a Whitney event involving the shopping centre, which can trigger in the playground after school.
- Tattoos can be removed at the hospital.
- Renamed a couple of feats.
- Added a couple of events to the town's streets for characters with visible body-writing. One requires the writing suggest the PC is a prostitute.
- New victims of the underground brothel will now be tattooed with their status.
- Added Stockholm syndrome development indictors to Eden's cabin and the wolf cave.
- Added the ability to write lewd advertisements on your skin at your bedroom mirror.
- Extended the street tentacle event with deviancy 3 and deviancy 5 options. The latter requires the PC be wearing a skirt with no undies. Thanks to larsrand.

- Each visible garment and accessory now contributes to your overall appearance, rather than only the one the game deems the most "important". Bulges caused by penises and breasts also contribute, depending on size and coverage. Aroused big penises are hard to conceal. Hair level and physique contribute a little.
- Visible genitals still have a big impact on appearance.
- Added a gender section to the mirror, which breaks down the factors influencing your appearance.
- You can now adopt a gender posture in front of the mirror, increasing your masculinity or femininity. Effectiveness depends on your English skill.
- Improved gyaru skin tones, particularly around a middling tan.
- Added contrast and sepia options to custom clothing colours.
- Added a "Reset selected to default" option to the custom colours UI.
- Added the ability to reset feats on the start passage. Can be reverted by loading a save.
- Improvements to custom colour code.
- Reworked and reintroduced lewd fluid for female characters. Should now be more authentic.
- Improved overlay code so errors will tend to be less catastrophic.
- Added an option to lighten the background behind the sidebar character sprite.
- Significant performance improvements.

- Made the "Crossdresser" trait acquirable through play.

- Unpopular, well behaved PCs now have a chance of being pranked in the history class dress up event. There are multiple ways of handling the situation.
- Winter can now notice ears and horns in addition to collars.
- Skulduggerous PCs may now have the opportunity to turn the tables on book-dropping bullies.
- Briar's establishment can now suffer raids from the police. Multiple outcomes are possible and depend mostly on skulduggery and criminality.
- Bringing Briar's fine establishment into disrepute may result in Briar inviting you to assist the police in their enquiries. Becomes increasingly likely when robbing customers at Briar's place, but will only happen after a raid and with very high crime.
Balance Changes
- Split transformations into two categories. Wolf and cat belong to one. Angel, fallen angel and demon belong to the other. You can have a transformation from each category. Thanks to Lollipop Scythe.
- Staying put while the wolf pack hunts will now increase their trust and progress towards developing Stockholm syndrome.
- Failing to defy an ear slime on the town's streets will now cause subsequent attempts to automatically succeed for the rest of the day.
Bug Fixes
- The belly dancer's top and bottoms now have the "Dance" trait.
- Fixed an issue preventing virginity loss from functioning as intended.
- Fixed an error message found when emphasising your breasts while in competition at the strip club bar.

- Fixed a pronoun issue found when Bailey saves a resident from an intruder.
- Fixed an error found when successfully punching your way through a gang outside the strip club.

There's a pair of ankle cuffs already in the game, but they only appear during one scene. I plan to use them elsewhere.

ReplyDeleteBug report: When stealing on Danube at night, my trousers were ripped to shreds when fighting a cat. Upon leaving that house, I was jumped by someone. During that encounter, he removed my turtleneck, and after fighting him off, he kept it. When that happened, however, the other articles of clothing I was wearing (sports bra, boyshorts and skulduggery mask) disappeared as well. I snuck into the shopping center and stole more, but the next encounter, they were all taken, again, including the trousers and turtleneck.

Also got a bug, long hair positioned in front has a spot that clips through the body and covers the crotch. Hair positioned behind is normal, it's been like this for the past few patches. Cheers!

Also, it seems like if clothing is displaced during an encounter, it stays displaced after the encounter even if it wasn't destroyed or stolen. This is kiiiinda gamebreaking, as after most encounters you're considered at least partially nude :(

Three ideas for new categories entirely, arms (gloves/bracelets/rings), belts, and backpacks.

ReplyDeleteIt's bugged. It should be automatic, but right now you either need to have someone take it off of you or just buy a new one. This is probably one of the "game breaking bugs" that caused Vrel to remove the download link.

ReplyDeleteIt's one of the biggest factors in the "bad situations snowballing hard" you mentioned, not only because of how rapidly it increases, but because it goes up just for having clothes off during any sex encounter, regardless of whether you took them off yourself or whether anyone is actually watching.
You can easily have exhibitionism maxed, while everything else is at fairly low levels, without even needing to try.
Making it so it only increases from activities outside of combat, like dancing, or from (consensual) sex where there's spectators would help a lot in making it more controllable, and being more accurate to the definition of exhibitionism.
As it is, it's the fastest route to hooded stranger hell that the game has, and there's no way to really stop or reduce it once it gets going.
I agree something must be done. It's far too easy to increase compared to other fame. Removing the increase from having clothes stripped during encounters could work.

DeleteI have been unable to accrue stolen goods this update. Characters with stolen goods from previous saves still had them and could sell them, but did not gain stolen goods from crime. My new save has stolen, but there is nothing to show for it. There aren't any error messages or anything, the stolen goods simply don't appear in Characteristics and there's nothing to sell to Landry

DeleteNot sure if it's specifically related to the lake, or if it happens every time - trying it out some more - but changing to swimwear seems to first destroy the bottom, and then the top, leaving no swimwear available.

DeleteThere was a bug which I don't know if it was fixed with this update, but when I passed out at school and a group of guys went to rape me it was never-endinng. They would go from stimulated to aroused and then back to stimulated and the cycle would repeat so I had to restart from another save. It might have had something to do with the tattoos on my body as there was some red error text about it but I don't remember what it said anymore.

DeleteSome hot hot opinions about the new gender appearance system: First off, it's fantastic. The way it's determined by many factors is simply an elegant solution, and most of all I love how one can choose to act girly or boyish (and how English skill improves this).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, a possible bug that's happening is that NPCs (and even the PC) refer to my PC as a girl, even when his dick's fully visible. I suppose his girly acting is so good that the "girly points" it gives are more than the "boyish points" his dick has, so he's still a "girl" even when naked. But I think genitals should override this kind of thing. An exception would be an NPC deliberately chose to call a PC the opposite sex to humiliate them (and their dialogue made that clear), then that'd be hot.
Also, a good while ago, I suggested the addition of a "permanent gender fame", that is, NPCs knowing what your gender is even if you're crossdressing, if it makes sense for them to know (e.g. named NPCs who've banged the PC, the students at school, the orphans). So they'd know that a crossdressing boy is just a sissy instead of a girl, and a crossdressing girl is a butch little tomboy instead of a boy, and they'd react to that with bullying, lewdness, or both.
Now that there's this neat update to the crossdressing system, I'd like to ask you if think this system is something you'd like to implement, one day. Personally, I'd like nothing more than to see my PC being regarded as the infamous little sissy boy he deserves to be,

When loading a save and fighting the same exact guy, it happens even if I blast him with double pepper sprays for an instant victory. However, it doesn't happen if I win by screaming for help.

2. Will there eventually be a lewdness value for NPCs? It's blasphemy but it would be kinda fun to invite Robin to... dance.
3. Yes, dance. Setting up a dance show with multiple participants. And maybe being asked by multiple patrons as well. And lap dances.
4. NPC relationships. I'd love to have more options and maybe even a status upgrade with Leighton. Wouldn't it also make sense to give the PC a version of the Stockholm Syndrome for more NPCs like Whitney?
5. Is there any way to prostitute the PC more directly? I always thought it weird that you can become famous for your brothel shows but not just look for someone like in the pub.
6. Last point: Sex pacing options.
I love Robin so much but couldn't they be a bit rougher?
What I am asking is more flavor during sex. Now this is probably too much and I am cool if you say no but I thought asking is free, yes?
7. For real. I forgot.
Breast settings for named NPCs if applicable. Just saying.
Also, a lot of women seem fond of suffocating my PC with their breasts. Is that on purpose?

3) More options and variety while dancing is planned, and I like the idea of incorporating other dancers.
4) I don't want to overdo Stockholm syndrome, but I'm not against including it where it fits.
5) The brothel is the most direct way to prostitute yourself. I've thought about adding the option to approach people in the street. You can street walk already by dressing lewd and loitering, but often need to filter through unwanted events.
6) More flavour will be added to encounters as an ongoing thing. I agree you should have more control over pacing during consensual encounters.
7) Female NPCs are perhaps a little too eager to smother the PC. Breast settings for named NPCs are planned.

DeleteUpdates should work with old saves automatically. If you're on PC, add the new Degrees of Lewdity html file to the same location as the old.
DeleteNext update may be an exception though, due to changes to the underlying code.

DeleteMy (male) PC is displaying a wet anus, probably due to the new lewd fluid changes. What even controls if it's gonna be "moist", "dripping", etc? Honestly I'd rather see this kind of natural anal lubrication locked behind drugs that cause this (so a very lewd PC can purposefully turn their but into a veritable asspussy), and/or as a perk of the demon transformation. As it is, walking around with a "dripping anus" with no explanation feels more like a health issue than anything else. Ergh.

Thus, there will be a "cheat menu", but without the ability to edit the amount of money or any other parameters, leaving the ability to honestly complete achievements.

First when taking a bath in the orphanges and you get caught it just says wash up or something and next turn they close the door behind them and thats it(the thing is that this happens on a new character). Second when eating with robin she ALWAYS says you have some thing on your face even when theres nothing no tattos no writing and then proceeds to clean the pc face even tho it was already clean to begin with.

DeleteI had a similar issue, where it there were two popup windows with the first mentioning something about use of const strict mode or something, and the next like bad widgets and duplicates not allowed, then followed by the startconfigc at the top and a literally everything in the character creation having errors. I really hope this still works on 4.4.4., because I'm running on a potato. ;-;

You have no idea how much I appreciate this one! It's so easy to get locked out of the angel transformation when I grind deviancy just because my PC ate some wolf cum or especially with the addition of breastfeeding the welps. This should make it much easier to have the best of both worlds with the furry and religious transformations.
On the subject of visual bugs though, the plain bra does not have a visible sidebar sprite, and the travel icon for the park is broken (standard broken image with the folded corner) for the android version. They're graphical errors, so it doesn't bother me too much. It's just mildly inconvenient when it looks like my PC isn't wearing a bra when I told her to XD She's such a brat she makes bras invisible, apparently

ReplyDeleteThe bug where the PC's clothes are removed after beating an NPC is still happening to me as of 2.10.13. Clothes aren't removed if you scream for help, or if the NPC simply gets off. I was afraid the bug might've carried over from a 2.10.12 save, so I tested it with a save straigth from 2.9.2 and it still happens then. vrolvo fix pls

ReplyDeleteYou just need to get cum or milk in you daily to keep the low purity and once you get the demon to kick in you will have no trouble keeping it but you need to do it for at least 30 days. As for Avery it does note it in your social tab at the bottem but it will be at 8pm always.

Also concept idea here: What about a Cupid-like story arc, where the pc has to go around and find the "perfect match" between two npcs. Just sounds like it could be interesting. Also, another idea: A wearable Vibrator that increases arousal/exhibitionism when worn, with special dialouge when discovered? Really like what you are doing with the game so far!

Hey is anyone else getting a bug where the sprite looks screwed up, like there isnt a face hair hell there isnt even a shirt just the skirt. i see little broken picture icons in the top left and in the middle left of the box where the sprite is to. Is there a way to fix it? Also I tried an older version and it looks fine by the way.

Hey, I think there's a glitch with the cafe. When I try to use lewd fluids for the buns no fluid fills the glass and it always says 0.0 ml. I was able to do this before this update.

DeleteI have an issue with the game, my skulduggery is improving, but no matter how much I've stolen it doesn't show up, plus all treasure and stolen goods are non detected. I'm not sure about crime, but I can't sell them, it was worth about only 1000, but I'm wondering why my other stuff is gone.
