The easiest way to be blindfolded is to pass out on the streets with high allure. There's a new potential event there. Gags can currently be found only in the temple, though they'll likely be exported elsewhere in the future.
The temple is one of the town's oldest buildings, and the clergy there guard more than a few secrets. I plan to allow the PC to ascend through the temple's hierarchy in the future.
There's a broad range of other additions as well. Thanks to everyone who helped. Full notes below. I hope you enjoy!

Patch Notes
- The temple has begun recruiting new initiates. They prefer virgins. Non-virgins can join, but must first undergo a trial.
- The trial was written in collaboration with Brooms17.
- Temple initiates have duties, including strict preservation of their chastity. They are allowed access to more of the temple and given a monthly allowance in return.
- Added the "grace" stat to the and Cheat menu. Only appears once initiated into the temple.

- Kylar will now equip the PC with a proper gag during the abduction sequence.
- You can now choose to remove parasites from only one part of your body during the hospital procedures.
- Human NPCs will now drop out of the fight one by one during gang encounters as they take damage, instead of all at once. Thanks to NG for this and other improvements to combat and beast code.
- Masochistic PCs will now respond differently if more than 70% of the arousal contributing to an orgasm came from a violent source. Thanks to NG.

- Added a "Show Caption Text" checkbox to SAVE/OPTIONS. When unchecked, an alternative, svelte version of your stats will be shown in the sidebar.
- You can now use numbers when naming outfits at the wardrobe.

- PCs with penises can now get feminine chastity belts from the temple.
- Winter will now try to replace the PC's chastity cage with a belt should they catch them masturbating in class.

Balance Changes
- The pig show at the brothel will now have a bigger impact on beast fame.
- Increased the suspicion gained when Sam almost catches you masturbating, and when accosted by a fan on the street outside the Ocean Breeze.
- The "Holy" trait on the holy pendant now increases the size of purity changes in both directions.
- The "Profane" trait on the dark pendant now increases the size of awareness changes in both directions.
- High arousal and aphrodisiacs will now increase cum recovery, and will increase max volume if you're already full.

My favorite thing to do for outfit in the beginning of the game was using a dress with barefoot thooough. :P I like the idea of being an orphanage kid who's a free spirited girl with no shoes on :3 I wish that rather than having consequences for no shoes, there was somehow a recognition from npcs for doing so. Like them feeling you're a lowlife girl who nobody would miss if she were to disappear for a few hours~ And having to be careful and struggle against it. Hahaha. Then again, balancing issues. Wouldn't want my life to be too hard. That said, I do use shoes to school. Most of the time~ Hahahaha. I'll give it a look what kind of event is this :P I'm curious.
Barefoot characters shouldn't be any worse off after this update, but shoe wearers will have a slightly easier time.

I spent a good while loitering around town barefoot trying to get the shoes event but it never happened. Is there anything specific I need to do in order to trigger it? I'm wondering if maybe I misunderstood it and it only happens if I'm wearing shoes.

The pendants do different things in the prayer room.
There's a second artifact in the landfill, found at a different depth. The stone pendant is not the new artifact.
As for Milk Factory, it's gained when you can produce a high enough quantity of milk. Parasites can bring it on if they're attached for long enough, as can rubbing your chest while masturbating. That said, it's possible something is wrong with the conditions for it. I'll check it out.

DeleteI've encountered a bug where the game thinks my female PC has a penis. I noticed it during a consensual wolf encounter. I believe it may have to do with the recoded chastity belts, since I believe the wolf was trying to get a taste for my PC's vag, but since she was wearing a chastity belt the game got confused and just gave her a penis, since it prompted me to either "tease the tip" (of the tongue) or "rub against the penis" (Dev 1). Clicking the rubbing option prompted the flavor text at the beginning of the next turn to read as if it was a thigh. Either way, since that happened, I now have options to cover her penis along with her vag and ass. It's a bit weird. Great for people who want to play futas, I guess, but I've never been into futas so *shrug*

Meanwhile I also got a random event idea. Hope you don't mind me sharing.
What if Whitney knocks on your window (or alternatively throws pebbles/rocks at it) while you're in your room in the evening. If they got a liking to you, I bet they'd take the liberty to drag you out of your room so you can be made useful for once.
Maybe there'd be different events following up, like either causing mischief together (eg. another robbery szene), or a trip to the park where you two get to enjoy some "quality time" together.
I just think it would add some events with Whitney that happen out of the school. So they visit you occasionally if they happen to feel like it.
*shrug* What do you think of that idea?

It would be great if the inscription that (This is a school day) appeared again, and the names of all the holidays were also displayed on the main screen, instead of a message about the school day.

Are you happy with how the game is turning out so far? You listen to what everyone says should be in the game, but what is something that *you* would like to see in your game particularly? I'm curious. :P
On another note, what kind of file format are your images in? I wouldn't mind trying my hand at making some clothing, if you're willing to put them in the game, seeing other people's names in thanks makes me a little jealous :P

The "easier" ways is to be grabbed by The Beast or pass out in the Arcade. The skulldugery grind just like the seduction grind is real.

Most images, including clothes, are small png spritesheets. You can find them in the img/clothes folder. I use Piskel to make them. I'd appreciate more clothing sprites!

I'll try out making something tonight regardless, and I think I'm at B skullduggery, Gotta rob mansions, and pickpocket during encounters, Just swapped from Cat to Wolf, since it's cheaper to maintain, and I'm waiting for my fangs to come back so I can 'grind' skullduggery in encounters a little safer. :P
it looks like the bad ending to the beer event at the church was disabled in 0.2.8.2. i got it once in 0.2.8.1 but since i upgraded it hasnt happened again even using the cheat menu to repeatedly activate the beer event.

ReplyDeleteI just had a question about the slime ear parasite, is it necessary to explore the landfill during a blood moon to get it? Does it matter if you already have slime or urchins or maggots attached? Do you need to go to the very deepest part of the landfill to get it? Sorry to say ive been having trouble finding the event or getting it to trigger :(
No moon necessary. you have to have an orgasm outside of events in the landfill so the maggots should help. Took me a while too must have low odds.
DeleteMidge is right. No blood moon is necessary, and it can happen any time you orgasm in the landfill outside of encounters. You need to be hallucinating, and both slimes and parasites need to be enabled. Aphrodisiacs can also help get your arousal up outside combat.

Also have to say that I REALLY like the idea of the earslime. I only hoped the effect would actually get stronger when you have one in each ear. But unfortunately that doesn't seem to do anything. I also feel like the slime should be more dominant in a way. I feel like he kinda rarely acts even with max corruption. Other than sometimes forcing me to strip naked in public, it hasn't really done much yet... I also think it would fit if the slime would secrete some fluids to be absorbed by the player and drugging him with an aphrodosiac in the process. Or perhaps you could use it'S guidance to corrupt the temple folk. ^^

Pussy-to-Mouth and Penis-to-Mouth should have a higher priority to occur. If there is a female one among your assaulters the Head-between-Breasts action happens in the vast majority of cases.

I have started a new game with a male PC and exclusively female NPCs to see if the footjob-only issue still persisted.
Not sure if anything was changed, but I noticed that pussy-to-mouth happened a lot more.

I've tried Piskel, and poking through the contetn of the game to get a suitable 'mannequin' to create the clothes over (to make sure they fit) and to see examples of work already done so I can emulate it so it fits as best it can- well I've run into a little snag, and there isn't anything said on the website, so I figure this is of your design, or you'd know what to do-
so you've saved moving images as still snapshots in a 'tape' formatting, like a movie reel, and While I'm sure the game runs off like that, your 'body' is in a .gif format, and well the two don't match up, and when you're trying to make clothes for the upper body, that has to be done a few times to account for breast size, it gets confusing quickly, I'm curious how you set it up to make new clothing, or edit old ones, so that I'd at least have a decent place to start.
Sorry to be a bother, I did give it an honest try to figure out for myself, DX

That's okay! There are unused gif body sprites still in the code, left over from before the move to png files. I should remove them really. There should be a similar png file in the same folder, except without a head. That's the one actually used.
DeleteA "complete" mannequin for the sake of making new clothes would be a good thing, I agree. Currently I just build one out of the required components.
I agree the existence of breast sizes confuses things. I've yet to add breast functionality to the clothes I've made.

ReplyDeleteHow mysterious! I wonder who this secret benefactor is. It is probably not Avery. Avery is always quid pro quo with monetary gifts. It definitely is not Whitney. Kylar would not have left the money on the door but rather would have broken into the bedroom and left the envelope where a pair of crotchless panties had been. Robin may have been feeling badly about paying nothing the Bailey while the PC shoulders their combined financial burden, but it is not as though the lemonade-hawking orphan has much in the way of liquid assets. It could have been Doren. Doren pities the PC and has no knowledge of the PC's vast hoard of cash that likely dwarfs anything a teacher would make in a lifetime. Other suspects include: Morgan, Daryl, the friendly 1337 HaX0r, and an emerging La Résistance composed of orphans.
It might be orphan related. Do they have high Hope? Also did you help any of them out with advice or money or interventions? All of this could be related.

I ask because reading text on a black background always makes it look really fuzzy and hard to for me to see, and being able to switch it would make the reading much easier for me. I don't think it would be more than just a setting or two in the code or stylesheet, so hopefully wouldn't take much time to do. Thank you! :D

DeleteHave you thought about some kind of fight club? for pcs that like the fighting aspect. Some ideas I had about where to have it and some requirements for it to show up.
ReplyDeleteThe ideal place I feel like it should be is the pub, in a basement or something, I feel like Landry or someone powerful you beat up well having high combat fame should introduce the basement.
I feel like there should be a safe place like the brothel is for intercourse what for fighting.

The combat fame could be used in someway as well maybe.
DeleteI have considered a fight club or similar. The pub sounds like an ideal location. I'd like to improve the defiant side of combat first though.
